1. Information We Collect
1.1. Google User Data
When you sign in with Google, we collect:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile picture URL
We do not access your contacts, emails, or Google Drive.
1.2. Service Data (Core Functionality)
Tabsurfer stores data required to operate the extension:
- Saved tabs (URLs, titles)
- Tab groups and structure
- Notes
- Schedules
- Device sync metadata
- CSV export requests
We do not collect browsing history. We only access tabs when you trigger an action (save, collapse, restore).
1.3. Payments
All purchases are processed by Polar.sh. Tabsurfer does not store or process credit card information. We only receive:
- Your purchase confirmation
- License status (free/pro)
1.4. AI Feature Data (Share With AI)
If you use the optional “Share with AI” feature:
- Only the content you choose to send is transmitted
- We do not store or retain this content
- It is sent directly to the selected provider:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
Use of AI providers is subject to their own privacy policies.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
Tabsurfer does not collect:
- Browsing history
- Search history
- Analytics
- Crash logs
- Device identifiers
- Cookies unrelated to authentication
3. How We Use Your Data
We use data only for:
- Operating the Service
- Syncing data across your devices
- Authenticating your account
- Enabling tab management features
- Fulfilling purchases
- Providing CSV export
We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising.
4. Data Deletion
When you delete your account:
- All your saved data (tabs, notes, groups, schedules) is permanently deleted immediately
- AI-shared content is never stored
- No trash or backup copies are retained
You may export your data before deletion.
5. Data Export
You may export all your data (tabs, notes, groups) as a CSV file at any time.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices, including:
- HTTPS encryption
- Access control
- Limited internal access
However, no online system is 100% secure. Use the Service at your own risk.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for users 13 years and older, aligned with Google Sign-In requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

We may update this Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
